Shifting career to become a freelancer is a way to start earning an income from home. Many of us started from scratch, others started since they had their degree. We have our own stories. We have our “how and whys”.
What is a Freelancer?
A freelancer is someone who is self-employed that offers services in countless categories whether for programming, call support, writings , online bookkeeping, graphic artist and so on. Becoming a freelancer offers you different options whether you will work on a long term projects, hourly basis or part-time work.
It sounds great to hear many benefits once you become a freelancer. Becoming a freelancer is a challenging yet a great opportunity towards a happy life. Becoming a freelancer is open to all. Everyone can become a freelancer, whether you are skilled, experienced or started from scratch.
Why I Become A Freelancer?
I choose to become a freelancer because of the three main reasons.
1. Becoming a Freelancer creates a TIME FREEDOM OPPORTUNITY.
Working as a freelancer will give me more time for myself. I can decide my time schedule on my own. I can do things whenever I want to. I can spend more time with my parents and loved one. I can maximize my time. You can have your dream vacation while you are working.
2. Becoming a Freelancer SET NO SCHEDULE
It's a great opportunity as well when you have a project that doesn't require any schedule. You can work on your own time. As long as you meet the deadlines and complete the hours discussed with your client.
3. Becoming a Freelancer is EARNING DOLLARS.
Knowing that you are earning in Dollars makes it amazing. I had that thought that when you are earning a dollar it is more than double of what you are earning when you are employed. You are paid per hour rate.
Absolutely, when you become a freelancer you can set your own goals. You have the control of your business. You are the boss. You are earning yet you are still enjoying the joy of life that everyone is dreaming of.
How I Become a Freelancer?
Becoming a freelancer is a challenge for everyone. There are a lot of factors that should be considered to become a freelancer.

Stable Internet Connections
Skills and Niches you are going to promote
Online Platform where you can establish and promote your skills
Portfolios to show to your prospective clients
Resume and Job Application should stand-out
Interview preparation (pre, during and post)
Proper Training to become a freelancer is I think I should add to the above mentioned. This is my key to achieve the dream career I’ve been aiming for. There’s a lot of training platforms that can be seen online. They are providing you the program that is right for you. If you are just a newbie, they will help you decide on choosing the niche applicable for you based from your experiences and knowledge.
I started from knowing nothing about how to become a freelancer. I’ve decided to find a place , a program or an academy where I can be trained.
